Panic Attacks and Anxiety

If you are suffering from debilitating fear, rest assured that there are herbs for panic attacks available that can help you. Before trying any kind of medicinal therapy (whether natural or conventional), you should always consult your doctor.
Here are three herbs that you can help you to overcome your panic and get on with your life.
1. Valerian Root: Valerian root is a mild sleep aid. When taken in lower doses, it has a calming effect that makes it helpful for use against panic and other nervous conditions. Valerian can also reduce the symptom of a racing mind, which is a common issue in these attacks.
2. Lemon Balm has mild sedative effect and is helpful in situations of nervous agitation with sleep issues and digestive problems.Lemon balm is helpful for anxiety, restlessness, irritability, and mild depression and can slow down a racing heart that is implicated in panic disorder.
3. Passionflower has a strong calming effect and an anti-spasmodic herb that is good for severe daytime anxiety. This herb is great for middle of the night waking terrors, nightmares, and the onset of sudden anxious feelings. Passionflower seems to act as a central nervous system depressant by giving a calming and anti-anxiety effect. It is specific for anxiety related to insomnia, muscle tension, restlessness, and nervousness.
Many panic attack sufferers spend a lot of time looking for that perfect medication or herb to stop these scary, fear inducing episodes. However, stopping panic disorder permanently will require a specific plan of action to desensitize yourself to the attacks.

I have had these myself..They come from many reasons...Stress.. PTSD..Thyroid..other diseases..They are very scarey.

Here is a CD on Amazon..there are 2 of them with 5 stars

Herbs for Chronic and acute Pain

Herbs for Chronic and Acute Pain

Herbal Allies for Pain Relief
Some of my favorite pain relieving herbal allies include skullcap, cannabis, valerian, turmeric, poppy, willow bark,

St. John's wort, angelica, motherwort, black cohosh, wild yam, lavender, cayenne, kava kava, and rose. Essential

oils of pine, lavender, peppermint, cinnamon, rose, clove, frankincense, rosemary, ginger, juniper, bay and birch

also are traditionally used as pain relievers and are well-documented analgesic agents. Put 10-12 drops of any

one of these essential oils in one ounce of a carrier oil such as olive or coconut. Shake well and then rub into

painful, swollen joints to allay pain and inflammation.

If you suffer from chronic pain, try drinking four to six cups of skullcap infusions daily, or take 10-15 drops of

skullcap tincture four to six times daily. Use skullcap as needed, as often as every few minutes, in acute

situations. Skullcap quiets the nervous system, and so will be a valuable ally if you suffer from chronic pain. A

combination of equal parts skullcap, St. John's wort, and oatstraw is particularly effective for calming the nervous

system, and thus easing pain.
tiAlso you can try Devilsclaw..it is a african herb and does a great job on pain.

SORE THROAT REMEDIES

Gargle raspberry tea. Raspberry leaf tea can make a great gargle. (To make, pour 1 cup boiling water over 2 teaspoons dried leaves. Steep for 10 minutes, then strain. Allow to cool.) If you also have a fever, the gargle can be used as a fever-reducing drink, too. Do not drink any liquid you have used as a gargle.
Gargle with sage. This curative herb is a great sore-throat gargle. Mix 1 teaspoon in 1 cup boiling water. Steep for 10 minutes, then strain. Add 1 teaspoon each cider vinegar and honey, then gargle four times a day.
Gargle with turmeric. Try this gargle to calm a cranky throat. Mix together 1 cup hot water, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Gargle with the mixture twice a day. If you're not good with the gargle, mix 1/2 teaspoon turmeric in 1 cup hot milk and drink. Turmeric stains clothing, so be careful when mixing and gargling.
Gargle with warm saltwater. If you can gargle without gagging, make a saline solution by adding 1/2 teaspoon salt to a cup of very warm water. Yes, when your mother told you to gargle with saltwater, she knew what she was talking about. It cuts phlegm and reduces inflammation. Dissolve 1/2 teaspoon salt in 1/2 cup warm water, and gargle every three to four hours.
Gargle with Listerine. Another good gargling fluid is Listerine mouthwash. If you share the product with anyone else in your household, don't drink straight from the bottle; instead, pour a small amount into a cup (and don't share that, either).

 Drink Cider Vinegar

This sore throat cure is found in several different remedies.  Some doctors still swear that it is surprisingly palatable and works wonders. (Do not give it -- or any other honey-containing food or beverage -- to children under two years of age. Honey can carry a bacterium that can cause a kind of food poisoning called infant botulism and may also cause allergic reactions in very young children.)
  • 1 tablespoon honey, any kind
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar, preferably apple-cider vinegar
  • 8 ounces hot water
Mix all the ingredients together in a mug and sip slowly (but don't let it get cold). Use as often as desired.
  • For gargling: You'll need 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 cup cider vinegar, and 1 cup warm water. Dissolve the salt in the vinegar, then mix in the water. Gargle every 15 minutes as necessary.

OLIVE LEAF

Excellant for virus and bacterial infections,  3 capsules a day!

also Zinc lozenges work well!!

Herbs for Cancer

Red Clover

Long used to combat menopause, red clover has an isoflavone called genistein that has shown promise both preventing new and treating existing malignant tumors, especially in estrogen-dependent breast cancer as well as prostate cancer. Genistein works by blocking blood vessels on tumors, which stops them from growing. Red clover is found in medicinal teas, tablets, capsules and as a liquid extract

CLEAVERS

Deemed the best lymphatic tonic by alternative medicine practitioners, a tonic of cleavers has been used for shrinking tumors and lymphatic drainage, especially with patients whose cancers have reached the lymph nodes. In raw form, it can also be added to soups.

OLDENLANDIA

A popular herb in China, extracts of oldenlandia have been part of treating viral infections, snake bites and most recently, cancers of the colon, stomach and esophagus. Taken as a pill, tea or as a liquid extract, Oldenlandia is said to inhibit tumor growth.

Eggplant pizza

Julia Child's Eggplant Pizzas (Tranches d'aubergine á l'italienne)

(Makes 3-4 servings or 6-8 appetizer servings, recipe adapted from one found in From Julia Child's Kitchen.)

Ingredients:
1 globe eggplant, about 8 ounces and 9-10 inches long
about 1 T salt, for drawing water out of eggplant
about 2 T olive oil, for brushing eggplant before roasting
about 2 tsp. dried Italian seasoning, for sprinkling on eggplant before roasting
10 large basil leaves, cut in chiffonade strips (optional)
1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan
1/3 cup finely grated low-fat mozzarella blend
hot red pepper flakes for sprinkling finished pizza (optional)

Sauce Ingredients:
2-3 tsp. extra-virgin olive oil
3 large garlic cloves, very finely chopped
1 can good quality petite diced tomatoes with liquid (or use 3 cups peeled and diced fresh tomatoes)
1/2 tsp. dried Italian seasoning blend
1/4 tsp. dried oregano (use Greek or Turkish oregano)

Instructions:
Cut off both ends of the eggplant; then cut it into 3/4 inch thick slices (trying to make them the same thickness!) Put the eggplant pieces on a double layer of paper towels and sprinkle both sides generously with salt. Let the eggplant sit with the salt on it for about 30 minutes to draw out the liquid. (After the eggplant sits for 15 minutes, turn on the oven to 375F/190C.)

While the eggplant sits, make the sauce. Heat 2-3 tsp. olive oil (depending on your pan) and saute the finely chopped garlic just until it becomes fragrant. (Don't let it brown.) Add the petite diced tomatoes, dried Italian seasoning, and dried eggplant and let the sauce cook at a low simmer until it's thickened, breaking up the tomatoes with a fork as it cooks. (Add water as needed, a few tablespoons at a time as the sauce cooks, keeping it hot by simmering at very low heat until it's needed for the eggplant slices.)

After 30 minutes, wipe the eggplant dry with paper towels (this also removes most of the salt.) Spray a roasting sheet with olive oil or non-stick spray, lay eggplant slices on, brush the tops of the eggplant with olive oil, and sprinkle with dried Italian seasoning. Roast the eggplant about 25 minutes (but "not so long that the slices become mushy and lose their shape" as Julia says.)

While the eggplant roasts, thinly slice the fresh basil leaves (if using) and combined freshly grated Parmesan and low-fat mozzarella blend. After 25 minutes or when eggplant pieces are done, remove eggplant from the oven and turn oven setting to broil. Spread a few tablespoons of sauce on the top of each eggplant slice, sprinkle with thin basil slices (if using) and top with a generous amount of cheese. Put pizzas under the broiler until the cheese is melted and slightly browned. (This took 6-7 minutes for me, but I was using a toaster oven and in a more powerful broiler it would probably only take a few minutes.) Serve hot, with red pepper flakes to sprinkle on pizza if desired.

Angel Card

Insight

Insight is about having the capacity to discern and grasp the true nature of a situation and perceiving the hidden truths using the intuition. This understanding of a situation is often very sudden and very clear, so ask for help to enable you to look deep inside yourself and respect your intuition.

The colour yellow is about communication, clarity, optimism, confidence and JOY. Yellow is the colour that unravels and reveals, focuses attention and is flexible and adaptable to new ideas. This colour gives a feeling of well being, warming us like the sun and clearing away negative emotions.

Bring this colour into your life with daffodils, sunflowers, roses, bananas, lemons, peppers, sweet corn and melons.

The Archangel associated with this word and colour is Jophiel bringing you joy, wisdom, insight, inspiration and intuition. Call on Jophiel for those sudden flashes of inspiration and answers to ongoing problems. Jophiel brings JOY, laughter and light, helping with studying, examinations and concentration, as well as developing intuition, inner wisdom and insight.

To live in harmony is what everybody strives for and is easier said than done. True harmony would only exist if all the nations of the world united and every race, creed and religion could live side by side. What this card is suggesting is that you try to bring balance into your life, for example between work and play and learning to go with the flow. A good way to achieve this is to work in harmony with nature; this could mean creating a wild or sacred space in the garden, or just walking through green fields and woodland to renew your connection to nature and help to restore inner harmony, creating balance.

The colour green is for balance, harmony, growth, abundance and healing. Green is the colour of the heart chakra and gives us the ability to experience wholeness and love. It helps you concentrate and that is why it is used as a base colour for many games. It also aids memory and soothes headaches.

Bring this colour into your life with, herbs, green plants, fruits such as kiwi and apples, and vegetables such as lettuce, cucumbers, avocado peppers, beans and peas.

The Archangel associated with this word is Raphael - a sage, a seer and a healer, who helps with knowledge, communication, and vision. Raphael gives physical and emotional healing, through giving and receiving love. He encourages you to communicate and share your inner wisdom, thoughts, words and creativity.

Angel Card for week May 27,12

Surrender & Release: If we could see the miracle in letting go our whole life would change. Let go, allow God and the angels to help you.

When we willingly release and begin the process of healing from the unhappy situation, we may find we gain the necessary clarity that was not apparent to us before. In having gained clarity individuals often regain their own self determination and strength.

The angels ask you to try not to control the outcome of your troubling situation. It can take a lot of courage to let go and trust in the decision to do so but It may also be one of the most valuable decisions we can ever make. Let go, and let God help you!

Angel Card week of 4/30/12

Receive
Allow yourself to receive in your life. Receiving is healing for those that give.
Additional Message: If you are one of those people that find it very difficult to receive when you have always been the one to give, this card is a sign from your Angels to graciously accept what is given to you. Let go of your pride and humble thoughts of being the charitable provider and allow those that require healing by giving an opportunity to practice their humility. It is your gift to them.

        Guardian Angels
We all have at least one Guardian Angel, in many cases we typically have more than one Guardian Angel. They are with us since birth and are here to help and guide us toward our highest good. Guardian Angels will not interfere with our decisions, we have what is called free will, that is out gift and we use it with every decision we make. So why are Guardian Angels here? How can they help you? How do you hear, listen, touch & feel your Guardian Angels? Well there are many different ways to achieve this. The most important advice one can know in contacting your Guardian Angels and Spirit Guides is to trust your intuition through feeling your emotions. You inner guidance is your rudder through life and often times when you ask a question you will receive a feeling of emotion. Does it feel wonderful, good and so forth? This is your Guardian Angel and Spirit Guides helping you in making your decision. It is important to realize they are only here to guide us and will never force us to take the actual steps required, that is your choice and your journey to make.

How to ask your Guardian Angels for Help
It is very simple; they are with you always, close your eyes and ask your question. Angels can never be offended or become annoyed with you. No question is so ridiculous they will not answer. And the answer will come. You can invite your Angels into your thoughts on a daily occurrence while you are engaged in mundane things such as driving, cleaning, shopping, and walking, they can hear and answer your questions and desires at any time you wish. So go on and ask your Angels right now, open up your heart and pour out your frustrations, dreams and desires, sit back and listen, feel for the answers as assuredly they will come.

The Sun

The Sun is ruled by...the Sun, of course and as the Moon was your inner darkness, the wild, untamed, unconscious part of you, the Sun is your inner light, civilized and rational, yang to yin, Apollo to Diana.
The Sun promises the querent their day in the sun. Glory, triumph, simple pleasures and truths. As the moon symbolized inspiration from dreams, this card symbolizes discoveries made wide awake. This is science and math, beautifully constructed music, carefully reasoned philosophy. It is a card of intellect and youthful energy.
Like the Sun, the querent will likely come across to others as warm and radiant, and they can be told that this is a good time to make decisions and take tests.
Standing for another person, this card can indicate those in the querent's life who are the most level headed and sunny. Also the most youthful. And, yes, the child/children in this card can be taken literally if other cards in the spread seem to suggest it. Your querent can be informed that a wanted and most welcome babe will soon be on the way. Likely a boy, or twins.

The Heirophant

The Hierophant The Hierophant is a master of sarced rites holding court in a holy place. Acolytes kneel before him and listen to his wisdom, The robes of the acolytes bear a design of red roses and white lilies (which also appears in the Magician card) which symbolize desire and abstract thought respectively. Between them at the Hierophant's feet are two crossed keys representing the conscious and the subconscious. Unlike the High Priestess, the Hierophant is concerned with the application of spiritual knowledge to the physical world. The Hierophant in a reading can indicate the establishment, the "powers that be", or perhaps an overly stubborn adherence to tradition. It is often a sign that it is time to think about giving up your routines, your old way of doing things, and to move into the unknown. Perhaps consider what life would be like if we truly lived by what we believe. Love and Light Lhynn

Emperor

The Emperor The Emperor is seated on a throne of solid stone decorated with Ram's heads - the symbols for Aires and Mars. He holds a stylized Egyptian Ankh (symbol of life) in one hand, and a globe (symbolizes his control of the material world) in the other. He repesents authority, virility, self-mastery and he is interested in that which is physical and concrete. He, of course, is the counterpart to the Empress. If your goal was built upon a solid foundation, it will be realized. Drawing this card indicates that you should accept what is coming your way, and that you will receive most (perhaps all) of what you desire. Love and Light Lhynn

The Empress

The Empress

The virgin High Priestess has become the Earth Mother. She sits on cushions in a fertile field, wearing a crown of stars. The symbol of Venus is one on side of her, and the flowing water of life on the other. She is Fertility personified. She represents the womb where creative ideas start to take shape in physical reality.

If you drew this card it means that for now at least, instead of "doing", you should try to simply "be". If you are trying to push a project forward, you can probably expect delays. The Empress represents being passive, not taking action. The Empress' presence in a reading is often a message to turn down our intellect and listen to intuition.

High Priestess

The High Priestess

The High Priestess sits on a throne between the pillars of Solomon's Temple: Boaz (black, negative, Yang) and Jachim (white, positive, Yin). The veil behind her, hides a wealth of secret knowledge. She holds a copy of Divine Law in her lap. A crescent moon at her feet and a full moon crown reveals her willingness to illuminate some of that which is hidden.

The High Priestess represents intuition, secret knowledge, the supernatural and psychic realms. It can also indicate hidden information that has yet to be revealed. Drawing this card may refer to changes taking place within you; the gathering of energy before the physical action is taken. There could be a surprise in your immediate future.

The Magician

At #1, the Magician is the male power of creation by willpower and desire. The lemniscate (infinity symbol) over his head indicates the energy of thought. Thus, he draws divine power down from the heavens into his white wand, molds it with that energy of thought, and makes it manifest on Earth (his finger pointing to the ground). This is that most ancient magic to make real whatever he imagines in his head merely by saying it aloud. ("And God said 'Let there be Light!' and there was Light").

Reflecting this is the fact that the Magician is often represented by Mercury. Mercury is the planet and god of smooth talkers and salesmen. Also clever with the sleight of hand (Mercury *was* the god of thieves!) and a medicine man - either a real doctor or someone trying to sell you snake oil.

The 4 suits before him remind us of the 4 aces, which in the Tarot symbolize the raw, undeveloped, undirected power of each suit. When the Magician appears, he reveals these to you. The tarot reader might well interpret this card as telling the querent that they will be given a vision, an idea, a magical, mental image of whatever it is they most want: the solution to a problem, an ambitious career, a love life, a job.

Learning Tarot

Going to do the Major Arcana only!!

THE FOOL

As a card, the Fool ultimately stands for a new beginning often involving a literal move to a new home or job. The querent (meaning the sitter, or the one asking the cards for advice) might be starting to date again, or trying out some new activity. There's more than just change here, there is renewal, movement, and the energy of a fresh start.

In the Tarot, cards like The Magician or The Hermit can often stand for the querent or for someone in the querent's life. The Fool, however, usually stands for the querent, himself. They are back at zero, whether that be in romantic affairs, or career, work or intellectual pursuits. Far from being sad or frustrated by having to start over, however, the querent feels remarkably *free*, light hearted and refreshed, as if being given a second chance. They feel young and energized, as excited as a child who has discovered a new toyshop. Who knows what they will find on the shelves?

In addition, they likely have no idea where they're going or what they're going to do. But that doesn't matter. For the Fool, the most important thing is to just go out and enjoy the world. To see what there is to see and delight in all of it.

Unfortunately, this childlike state can make one overly optimistic or naive. A Fool can be a Fool. That business opportunity might not be so surefire or amazing as it seems, and that new lover might not be so flawless.

Like the Fool, you might be so busy sightseeing and imagining the possibilities that you completely miss the fact that you're about to go right off a cliff! The card advises that one listen to that watchful little dog, which might be a concerned friend, a wise tarot reader, someone harassing you from the sidelines, or just your instincts. However exciting new beginnings may be, you still have to watch your step.

Skyler..I don't know how old she is but you can see the K in her name that is a 11..on her that would be from 9 to 18. if she is older then she is in the Y=7 and might not do it for her but the K=11 is powerful so we will have to see.

One other person is Elise..now I heard her say she was 27 ..between the L and the i is from 18 to 27..if her birthday is this month and she changes over to age 28 she then goes under a S=1..but I don't know her birth month.

In between each letter would be 9 year span so goes 9 - 18 -27 - 36 = 45 - 56 - 63 - 72 etc.

I have been right for the last 5 years.

1...Character traits: Exceptionally powerful and dominating personality. Individualistic and intensely original and creative. An inspired and inspiring leader and a pioneer. Efficient and determined and good at initiating new projects.

11...Character traits: The vibration of the 11 is essentially the 2 vibration raised to a higher level and with a little more idealism/self-righteousness thrown in: Idealistic, intuitive and visionary. Highly sensitive and emotional. Very determined in completing tasks. Determined and aware of what others think. Intuitive rather than rational and may not be good in business because the clarity of rational thinking is more important in that realm. Good at comforting others, Co-operative and good-natured, symphathetic and understanding, helpful and good at keeping a secret. Gets along well with others. Likes detail and settled routine somewhat as long as others are around...lucid dreaming and in the LIMELIGHT, FAME!!

So go thru the name and in the middle of the letters as I showed you it is 9 yrs..so go to your age and see what letter you are under right now..then look up the number meaning on a blog page a few back.

Flu remedies

Flu Remedies

1. Vitamin D

Boosting up on Vitamin D helps to prevent colds and flu. This may be related to the necessary role this vitamin plays in the protection and lubrication of many of the body’s principle organ systems. It also boosts cellular growth and immune cell activity, and lowers the inflammatory response. I recommend 15 minutes daily of natural sunlight, consuming more foods with vitamin d and possibly taking a vitamin D3 supplement.

2. Vitamin C & Citrus Fruits

If you have had a lingering cold that just wont go away, chances are you are not getting enough vitamin C. A powerful support for the common cold, you can take up to 2000mg four times daily. Fresh squeezed lemon is also a good way to naturally supplement vitamin C levels. The benefits of drinking lemon juice mixed in water go beyond the naturally occurring vitamin C. Lemons aid the body in purifying the lymphatic system, which is a crucial component of fighting off colds. Squeeze ½ lemon in one cup of purified warm water and drink 3 or more times daily. For particularly mucous-ridden colds, you can add black pepper and fresh or powdered ginger.

3. Zinc Orotate

Double blind studies have shown that zinc reduces both the intensity and the duration of the common cold by up to 50%. I personally take a zinc supplement when I want a strong anti-viral response. Zinc Orotates increase lysosome activity, which attacks viruses and has been an effective immune booster for the flu by lowering the viral load. Try taking a zinc supplement.

4. Organic Oregano Oil

An extremely potent anti-bacterial and anti-microbial agent that relieves congestion and inflammation. I recommend about 9 drops of organic oregano oil taken internally in a capsule after meals on a full stomach.

5. Organic Turmeric

An amazing herbal remedy, turmeric is a strong antimicrobial that helps push out out bacterial and viral infections. You can purchase in capsule forms, or you can buy the herb fresh or dried. For a cold-fighting tea, place a ¼ tsp. in hot purified water and drink often. This herbal jewel also helps ease sore throats. For a throat-coat for comfort, place 1/2 tsp. of turmeric in 2 tablespoons of raw honey and let seep down the throat.

6. Organic Germanium-132

Another great flu remedy is Germanium-132. I recommend taking about 600mg daily. The best source is available at: JARROW Formulas Germanium Ge-132 100 mg. – 60 Capsules. I would also suggest googling “Organic Germanium-132″ to discover more benefits, but I would definitely recommend reading this article about Germanium-132 for attacking viruses.

7. Organic Echinecea

An immune booster, this herb is a strong anti-viral and anti-bacterial agent. It is also a potent blood purifier, and overly-toxic blood may lead to flu and cold responses. Echinecea has also been shown to increase immune-boosting white blood cell counts in the body. If you have a cold, take 3 droppers full of tincture in warm water or drink as a tea.

8. Raw Apple Cider Vinegar

A well-known natural healing agent, Apple Cider Vinegar is a good herb to take with a cold. Drink a mixture of 1/2 cup of purified water with 2 teaspoons of organic raw apple cider vinegar and 2 teaspoons of raw honey .. 3 times daily until symptoms disappear. After consuming, drink some more water to rinse the acid of the teeth. You can also sprinkle a little on your pillow before going to bed to breathe in the fumes while you sleep. I recommend Braggs apple cider vinegar, but any brand that still has “the mother” will work well.

9. Detoxified Iodine

“In 1945, J.D. Stone and Sir McFarland Burnet (who later went on to win a Nobel Prize for his Clonal Selection Theory) exposed mice to lethal amounts of influenza viral mists. The lethal disease was prevented by putting iodine solution on mice snouts just prior to placing them in chambers containing influenza viruses.” I recommend 3 drops 2x daily of Detoxadine until symptoms diminish. Learn more about the different types of iodine supplements.

10. Ultra Pure Colloidal Silver

Many types of Silver are available. GHC has a limited supply of Silver Fuzion, but you can also find good sources online. The only three I would recommend are – Silver Fuzion, Utopia Silver and MesoSilver.
Other Ways to Fight the Flu

Things to avoid while fighting the Flu:

You should try to avoid the following list of foods – Milk and dairy, alcohol, coffee, animal meat or products, microwaved food or beverages, sugar, artificial sweeteners, white flour

I would avoid flu vaccines like the plague. Most people do not know this but it is scientifically impossible to create a flu vaccine due to the fact that influenza has a different genetic pattern each time it replicates and is different every year. Each years flu vaccine is created from the previous year. Basically this means that the flu vaccine is nothing more than a money generating toxic injection.

Ginger Root

Lemon and ginger tea is one of the best teas to have if you have a cold, flu, or sore throat. Ginger root is a very healthy addition to recipes and has a great taste and crisp, fresh smell. The smell and fumes of ginger tea can even help clear the nasal passages. Lemon juice is full of Vitamin C and phytochemicals which help boost the immune system. Honey is also beneficial to the health and has also been proven to also help boost immunity. It's also effective in soothing a sore throat!

Even if you're not recovering from a cold, you can brew up a pot today and enjoy your ginger tea with your loved ones while you sit back and relax on the couch, preferably on a toasty autumn day.

Recipe

Ginger Tea with Lemon and Honey

Required Ingredients:

5 thin slices of raw ginger

1 ½- 2 cups of water

½- 1 lemons, squeezed

1-2 tablespoons honey

Optional ingredients (not to be added all at once)

1-2 cloves crushed garlic

Cayenne powder (to increase perspiration and break a fever)

½ teaspoon seaweed

1-2 sticks of cinnamon

Boil the water and meanwhile, grate the ginger slices. Pour into a thermos or tea kettle. Add the ginger, lemon juice, honey, and other optional ingredients. Allow to sit for 15-20 minutes, depending on how strong you want your tea. Strain into a cup or mug and enjoy your ginger tea!

Origin of Ginger
Ginger is the stem of the plant Zingiger Officinale and has been used as parts of home remedies since ancient history by the Chinese, Indian, and Arabic people. It has been used to treat diarrhea, vomiting, and flatulence by the Chinese for the last two millennia. It has been around for nearly four and a half thousand years in the region of Asia because it grows best in fertile, damp, and tropical soils. It is often used as a flavoring in many authentic Asian dishes, but is used around the world as a home remedy for various minor ailments in the form of ginger tea.

Benefits of Ginger
Ginger tea can do your body a lot of good even though it is not a traditional herb. It has been used as treatment for minor illnesses and discomforts for a long time in human history. In fact, it is still used to treat many of the same illnesses even to this day because the apothecaries who prescribed it did so based on its proven beneficial effects. Regimes may rise and fall, but the DNA of the human body remains the same. Therefore, we respond the same way to most medicines and remedies as we would have were we born in another time. So next time you drink ginger tea and it helps ease your flatulence, digestion, upset stomach, or nausea, remember that 2000 years ago, ginger tea gave the same relief to someone else in Ancient China!

The making of Herbal Salve

Rub herbs between your palms to bruise them. If your herbs include any combination of roots, leaves and flowers, separate those parts into different piles. You may put different types of herbs together in the same pile; you are only separating the parts of the plant.

2
Pour the olive, sesame or coconut oil and the bruised herbs into the frying pan, starting with the roots, adding the leaves next and then the flowers. Cover the pan and heat the herbs over a low heat until all parts of the plant are crispy (about 30 minutes to 1 hour). Keep the heat low enough, cooking the herbs or bringing the oil to a simmer.

Things You'll Need
2 ounces dried herbs
1 cup olive, sesame or coconut oil (plus a little extra)
Frying pan with a cover
Saucepan
1/2 ounce solid beeswax beads or shavings (plus a little extra)
1/2 teaspoon vitamin E oil
Metal teaspoon

Retinol Wrinkle Cream

As Potent As Retinol. Powerful Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate
www.Kiehls.com
3
Melt the beeswax in the saucepan over a low heat.

4
Pour melted beeswax into the frying pan with the herbs and oil.

5
Stir in the vitamin E oil.

6
Remove a teaspoon of the mixture and blow on it until it hardens. Test the cooled salve with your finger by dabbing a bit from the teaspoon onto your skin and rubbing it in. If the salve is too hard to rub in, add another teaspoon of olive, sesame or coconut oil. If the salve is too runny, add another pinch of beeswax. Repeat the testing process until the salve rubs smoothly and completely into the skin.

7
Pour the salve into the glass jar immediately after you get it to the desired consistency, as it will quickly start to harden as it continues to cool to room temperature. If the salve hardens too much to pour, reheat it until it returns to a liquid. Seal the lid on the jar tightly.

Marshmellow root Herb

Therapeutic Uses, Benefits and Claims of Marshmallow Root

Marshmallow root has a long history dating back thousands of years as an herbal remedy for cough, sore throat and other respiratory problems such as bronchitis and whooping cough (pertussis). This is due to the large amounts of mucilage found in the flower as well as the root.

The Herb Marshmallow Root
(Althea officinalis)
Recommended uses include that of diarrhea and indigestion; along with chronic diseases that cause these such as Crohn’s disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and Gastroesophageal reflux disease.
Weight loss has been promoted when taking marshmallow because it swells when mixed with fluid, prompting the stomach to have a feeling of more fullness.
This herb has shown to be helpful in almost all problems related to inflammation of the digestive tract; including peptic ulcers, hiatus hernias, mouth ulcers, enteritis and colitis.
External uses have shown to be very effective as well. Laboratory tests from the 1960’s concluded that marshmallow root has anti-inflammatory activity on the human tissue indicating that this herb could be helpful in treating cuts, scrapes, and other wounds, as well as a remedy for eczema, psoriasis and pinkeye.
Marshmallow roots form an imperative ingredient of ointments and creams that are effective in cuing boils and other bodily abscesses.
Roots may be formed into a mouthwash and used to treat inflammation. It is in this form that the roots can be extremely helpful in aiding the irritation of teething infants. The root may also be peeled fresh and given to infants to chew on.
Potential Side Effects of Marshmallow Root

Althea has little to no known levels of toxicity and is commonly considered to be completely safe. Marshmallow liquid preparations may include the use of sugar and/or alcohol. Exercise caution when using if you have diabetes, alcohol dependence or liver disease. Use is not recommended for pregnant or lactating women. There are current studies being conducted on the use of Marshmallow root in increasing the production of milk in lactating women but the results are not official and are still being studied.

There is a possibility that marshmallow may interfere with the absorption of other drugs and therefore should be taken at least one to two hours after ingestion of any other drug. Caution should be taken when using with any dietary supplement. These supplements cause a decrease in blood sugar levels just as the althea has been known to do.

Dosage and Administration

The best way to take marshmallow root is by supplements. Herbal tablets of about 5 mg can be taken once per day or a liquid alternative of 5-15 ml 3 times daily. As a cough and respiratory agent 2 grams of the root should be put into one cup of cold water, soaked for two hours and then gargled. For topical use shredded root should be mixed with enough warm water to form a thick paste and spread onto a clean cloth. Apply to irritated area as needed.
